Ankit Negandhi committed to the art of Classic Mixology in the world of bars and beverage, who has performed Classic Mixology in a whirlwind level of from Delhi to Goa, from Bangalore to Mumbai and Internationally also has made his and his country’s name in the Classic Mixology from the Italy to Paris & United Kingdom to Gulf. He is an enthusiastic Mixologist, who has shown the world a different level of Modern & Vibrant beverage Mixology which India can produce.

Mr. Ankit Negandhi, who himself is a first-rate Classic Mixologist, trained at J.W. Marriott’s, hotel Mumbai, ranked 2^nd all India at the Smirnoff Extreme Flair Bartending Challenge’ 06 came back to the competition world after 2 years and won the best Classic Mixologist award in India, which made him represent his country at the World Championship called the Bacardi Martini Grand Prix 2008 World Finals, got Internationally awarded as the Smart Bartender 2008 in the world championship and 5^th World Wide for his Classic Mixology skills, In Italy 1^st Indian to book 2 awards in 48 years in one world championship for bartending. He is also the 1^st Indian to be invited to the Asia Pacific Cocktail Competition hosted by IBA, in Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong etc

“It was a very tough journey for me to come so far as I do not belong to a rich family but thanks to my Dad and my Family members who alloyed me to go for this even after facing a loot of problems in life, it was difficult winning the Mumbai round and then the National finals as every contesting bartender would have wanted to be the Indian representative at the world championships and make their country proud and I am thankful that I have done it all to make my country proud” and will keep doing it as and when I get a chance to do so, says Ankit Negandhi.

A whiff from the past…:

Ankit Negandhi started off as a bar back cleaning and washing glass and the bar at the Goa Marriott in the year 1999, He was completing his Bachelors Degree In Hotel Management in Goa and use to work for his living, from Goa and then found his way to the bars of J.W. Marriott, Mumbai from where he grew up the organizational ladder. Highly know for his pre-opening expertise, he became a part of the pre – opening team at The Courtyard By Marriott in Chennai as an Executive manager Bar & Beverage successfully opened 6 bars in the hotel. As he slowly be came well know for his cocktails and innovative work behind the bar was invited by the General Manager of Carnival Cruises Lines UK for a job on the ship in UK called Ocean Village as an Asst. Bar Team Leader. After working there for a year, he came back to India and soon left to Qatar (Doha) as a Bar Team Leader partly consulting for the Intercontinental Hotel Doha for 2 major events projects - Doha Asian Games and the 31^st Dec’06 celebrations at the hotel.

“I will never forget those days when I use to walk down ½ KM to reach home in Goa when I was during my Hotel Management and work together as the whole day I was on my feet running about from home to collage from collage to hotel and then hotel to home – but as said hard work does pay back big sooner of later but don’t loose your goal and I did the same” says Ankit Negandhi.
